finished not perfect...

I started this quilt years ago...and it has sat in the cupboard unfinished!
I was just plain sick of it...some of the fabrics are simply ugly...
and I don't know why I would have used that brownish star...
it doesn't go at all...
...before I went on our holiday
I got it out with some intention to finish!
It was sitting on the sewing room cupboard and I thought the
only way to have it out of the room was to sew on the borders!
So that is what I  have been doing this week...
...the borders are not as wide as I first intended!
And I think I need to add another border...just not sure what!
...my plan for this year was to finish some quilts!
Finish is the word I'm concentrating on not perfect...
trying for perfect is why they don't get finished
so finish is my mantra!!!
...it doesn't have to be perfect!
I'm not going to enter it in any competitions...
****
Not the best photos...it is a very dull day here
..and hoping it doesn't rain!
We are in the process of getting the pool painted
and we need dry weather.

Christine, I love the colours of your quilt, and even think if you don't need to make it larger, looks good with the narrow border.
It looks lovely on the bed.
Finished always feels good!
Hope you get your pool painted without the rain. It's getting very windy here again.

I think it is so funny and so wonderful that we each see things differently. I clicked on your blog just because I was attracted to your quilt. I think it is beautiful!

Finished quilts are more satisfying than perfect... who really ever gets them perfect... I certainly don't. This quilt looks lovely. I love the stars.
