haven’t been far…

…sorry I haven’t blogged for a while!

I do love blogging…but lately life seems to be busy!

I have been reading blogs I follow on the ipad…and

keeping up with everyone's stitching…

just not getting time on the computer to post…

DSCN0254

this beautiful duck and his partner are resent visitors to our yard…

only they like to swim in the pool where we don’t want them…

does anyone have any ideas how to keep them out…

chasing them out every time they land gets a little tiring and

5 minutes later they are back…

love our local wildlife but ducks in the pool are not fun!!!

Hi Christine... try placing a radio nearby and turning it on loudly to a talk radio station (not music), since most wild animals are hesitant to be near humans, sometimes the loud talking will deter them... of course, you may need to keep this going for several hours, maybe even several days... hope it helps... Hugs.

Sorry, my same post went on 3 times even though it said it wasn't posted, so I deleted two of them... those word verifications are really troublesome, I almost gave up because of trying so many times (more than 3 but only 3 stuck without my knowledge...)...

Try leaving an inflated pool toy in the pool. A couple of beach balls? Some balloons with a bit of water inside so they do not blow away? This may be dicing with your children's safety so check that they know not to retrieve the float. Duck poo is horrible in the pool so keep testing water quality.
