I found this Donna Hay brownie mix at our local Coles...

...mine didn't quiet turn out like the picture.

How does she cut them so nice?

...it was still good to eat!!

 Trying to work out the oven here...

I seem to burn or under cook...

anyway cooking is fun no matter how it turns out.

...longing for warm weather to stay around.

Today was overcast and cool...one day sunny, next day raining.

The cooler weather should be good for sewing, but instead

the housework seems to gain importance and sewing

has to wait...maybe tomorrow!!

now to decide what fabric to make it in!

I'm leaning towards French reds...or maybe 1930's???

My Grandma was a farmers wife...

she was a young wife and mother in the 1930's...

I love the thread I found at the quilt show it's called wonderfil...

 Freezer paper I haven't used before...

it will make applique much easier...
