making me happy...
...butterfly garden quilt is in the hoop ready for
some more stitching
...it takes a while to get into the rhythm of hand quilting when
I haven't done any lately.
I decided on quilting around the shapes and then adding
more butterflies, hearts and flowers in quilting.
loving my new phone...it's a touch screen

progress at retreat...
...what I worked on at the quilt retreat!
I wanted to make a shaggy/raggy quilt for some time...
so I made the blue raggy quilt at the retreat.
It looked better once I clipped the seams...still have to wash it
to get the full effect.
...pinned together my butterfly garden quilt and began the quilting.
...stitched the centre blocks together and worked
on the buttonhole stitched borders that I showed the other day.
...rose from my garden it seems to match the quilt top!!

quilt retreat weekend...
I spent the weekend at a quilt retreat...it's held in a wilderness area.
The water on the dam was so still it was like a mirror...
...the cabins were originally built for the rowers to stay in while training
prior to the Olympics.
...we have a cabin that has room for 10 and the conference room
to sew the day away in!!
...it's a very quiet place away from the busy world.
For some reason I didn't get to take photos of the quilts in progress...
everyone was busy achieving there own choice of work.
...or completing UFO's!

I have far too many projects on the go...

They are flowering so abundantly...
