Hearts and Flowers....what I'm working on!
This is what I have been working on...
Hearts and Flowers quilt pattern by Kim Maclean from
the Quilt Romance book.
This is the first time I have used Kaffe Fassett fabrics and I am loving them.
The one piece of fabric can be cut in so many different
ways...
My Kaffe Fasset fabric collection is only small so I have added
other fabrics...

Christmas Fun...
...the quilt group christmas party on Sunday
The table was set with red, black and silver...
The gift exchange this year was a covered coathanger...I made my gift from
The poinciana trees around the area are really beautiful this year...
...with all that red they look very like Christmas!
...also the Australian Flame tree adds to the festive colours.
...with their red flowers!
And most of all it's so hot telling us summer is here.

Candlelight is always beautiful and relaxing.

Finished at last...
Finally finished...I finally finished the binding.
This quilt is for my son2 to lie under watching TV.
I showed it to him when he was home, said he liked it,
so next week he will be the owner.
I machine quilted it...only in straight rows...
I'm fairly new to any sort of machine quilting
...so straight rows it is!
I'm happy with how it turned out.
The quilt group ladies said it looked masculine,
wasn't my usual colours.
...But I don't think I really have usual colours- I like all colours.
Whether they make a bright quilt or a pastel, pretty quilt,
the modern bright, clear colours I love- I like them all.
I recently have been playing with Kaffe Fassett fabrics
...now I know why they are so liked!
I love how one fabric when cut into small pieces can look so different.
