Bramble Rose Quilt

I went to the local craft weekend yesterday...and these were my buying.

These fabrics were a fat 1/8th pack from patchwork dreaming.

The pattern is from Crabapple Hill...called brambles rose quilt.

I came home and started cutting out the blocks

from the fabric...adding some fabric I already had.

that's me...

We bought a new printer/scanner...that's me at 3 1/2 years.

Taken at North Creek...still a favourite beach spot.

I love how there is a reflection in the wet sand.

This is my very simple boxes quilt ...

I was inspired to make this from my quilt friend Janet's version in red and white.

I started with this Japanese dragonfly fabric...then added the colours in it.

One hyacinth out in flower...the perfume is beautiful.

It must be the spring like weather we are having...

I have been cleaning, dusting and rearranging

While we were out today, I found this dandelion print at target

I had just the place for it to go...

new shoes

My husband had a cast made of his feet today...

this is to have shoes made especially to fit his feet.

These shoes will help him be able to walk.

Then we went for a walk (and wheelchair) along the beautiful river..

Ever since I discovered the candied hexagon pattern...it's been my latest obsession.

Though I'm not usually obsessive!

I have been making these hexagons...fun being stripes and spots and all different.

I am going to make the quilt with a beach theme.

...we went to the movies on Friday to see my sister's keeper.

being a Jodie Picott fan!

on the way out of the theatre the ticket man said 'did we use all our tissues'

..wasn't expecting that comment.

I have been busy sewing, cooking, cleaning, gardening and appointments.

The weather has been beautiful...too nice to be inside.

I just need to take some photos.
