...made these honey cookies today!  Found the recipe at a spoonful of sugar.

Mine didn't turn out as pretty ...but we enjoyed them for afternoon tea.

It's a glorious autumn day here... not hot/not cold just perfect!

more rain

The postman bought these today...the bias makers are the gift with my subscription to Homespun magazine.   I have some basket handles waiting for these.

Also, now the borders are here for my Butterfly Garden quilt..some stitching to complete and my quilt top will be finished. I'm looking forward to quilting all the small pieces by hand.
Nothing but grey skies...the sun is trying to shine through...

It has been raining for about a month...a couple of days of sunshine last weekend though.

I started doing some work on my quilt group challenge...I drew out curves and braid.

The centre of my quilt is going to be this stitchery which has curves and then the braid..

I wanted to make it in soft colours, hence the pale blue...but who knows where it will progress too.

 This bowl of chocs was full earlier today... our son came home for the night but headed back this afternoon to start a new week.

He did the environmental Easter thing of bilbys... love white chocolate at the moment.

rain,rain... and more rain

It seems like it has been raining for weeks... a couple anyway.  The sun tries to shine through then  it's raining again. 

Went to our quilt group last Sunday and forgot to take the camera .... everyone had been busy making and finishing all sorts of wonderful quilting.

Had a lovely day...we are starting a new challenge...border quilt... we draw two borders each month 

These green paddocks will be a highway shortly...work has begun.  The bypass of our small town  has been 30 years in the planning.  The town is now divided by a highway that runs through the middle.  The town will be so different but at the same time it seems a loss to turn these green paddocks into road.

rainy day

We spent the afternoon watching Australia on DVD... went over town to buy some food and also bought the DVD.  Didn't get to see the movie when it was at the theatre...so now I can say I've seen it.

Really want to be doing some sewing but just don't seem to be finding a big bit of free time to get to it.        Have been slowly stitching my butterfly garden quilt...block 9 is almost finished...
