Jacob's Coat -quilt along...

...seeing pink around here!
bright pink and some lime green
adding brightness to my day

I have glued down my first block for the Jacobs coat quilt along...
I was waiting for the stitch and wash to arrive...which did on Friday,
so have been busy cutting and gluing all weekend.

I'm sure the points will get better with practice...as practice makes perfect.

I was a little unsure about my colour choices...whether to make one circle pink and the next green. Then I decided to mix them up.

I think I'm happy with the first block.

It's so hot here...for the last few days. Too hot to do anything!

Helen's giveaway...

This is Hugs from Helen- Life is Beautiful new BOM.

Helen is having a giveaway to celebrate her new BOM.

To enter you need to post about her new BOM and a verse
about life is beautiful...

This is a quote I read somewhere and liked...

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything that comes along their way.

jacobs coat quilt-a-long

Patten made for the jacobs coat quilt a long...

template made...

fabrics chosen...I was thinking hot pink and lime green.
Maybe alternating the colours of the circles.
Do you think that would work?

...and background - for a scrappy look-
using different print white/pale cream.

I still have to buy the stitch and wash to begin.
It is not available here - so cannot begin stitching
until I send for some.
